Wax Dipped Teddy Bears

Supplies:

•Fry Daddy Deep Fryer
•Thick Rubber Gloves
•Tongs or Pliers
•Screen
•Large Tooth Comb or Fork
•Wood Plaques
•Dow rod
•Glue
•Assorted Decorations

1. Melt your wax. I like to use the Fry Daddy deep fryer. Add Fragrance (1 to 1 1/2 oz per pound of wax) stir well. Use of a dye similar to the color of the bear will allow the wax to blend better. Each wax has it’s own melting point.

2. After the wax is melted and fragrance is add make sure again wax isn’t to hot. Having wax too hot could make your bear shrink or become misshapen.

3. Using a pair of tongs, dip and squeeze the bear in the wax until the bear is well saturated.

4. Using tongs, pull the bear out of the wax and while wearing thick rubber gloves squeeze out the excess wax. Set your bear on a screen over your pot to let the wax drip back into the wax for use with the next bear.

5. Before the bear starts to harden take a fork and comb out the bear. Longer hair bears will take more fluffing.

6. Over time your bear will start to slaoch over. I suggest using a wood plaques and dow rod to set your bear on. Take your plaques and drill a hole to put your dow rod in. Set your bear on the dow rod to keep your bear sitting up.

7. Once your bear completely cools you can glue decoration to your plack depending on the holidays. Place in a cellophane bag and add a decorative ribbon.

Warning!!!

This is a air freshener and not meant to be burned. Also avoid sitting in direct sunlight.

To refresh your Bear take a hair dyer and warm Bear.

One Pound of wax will do one large Bear or two small bears.
